Didn’t get the degree you wanted? Have you just never been trained? It is not too late! Here is a list of courses you can take without a diploma!
Diplomas provide easier access to the job market. And if you haven’t validated one, it’s not yet time to give up. If you have validated one, two diplomas, or even if you do not have a single one on your counter, there is necessarily a training that awaits you.
What if I have never studied?
You stopped studying at 16 and now want to train for a trade. Positive point: it is never too late to resume your studies. Indeed, you have the choice between multiple professionalizing courses accessible even without a diploma. Several alternatives are therefore available to you.
Opt for a CAP
The CAP is a diploma that you can obtain after the third. No certification is required to access it! This is a two-year vocational training course leading to direct entry into working life. You are not obliged to train in an apprenticeship training center: you have the possibility of preparing for the exam remotely!
Here are some examples of CAPs:
- CAP Early Childhood
- CAP Aesthetics
- CAP Kitchen
- CAP Bakery
- CAP Pastry
- CAP Hairdressing
- CAP Commerce
- CAP Hospitality
- CAP Transport
- Automotive CAP
- CAP Social Work
Move towards continuing education.
You have not obtained a diploma, have been employed in a company and now wish to resume your studies or take a training course. The training may be the answer to your prayers!
The latter, aimed at adults wishing to advance in their professional life, much promotes employment. Continuing training can be done face-to-face, in which case the employee goes to a training center or remotely via an online course platform.
You can find professional training in all areas:
- Computer science
- Human resources
- Early childhood
- Public function
Pass the BAC
If you have not taken the step after the third, you can enroll in a high school to obtain the baccalaureate diploma. You have the choice between a general, technological, or professional baccalaureate. It is essential to keep in mind that the three types of baccalaureate do not have the same objectives:
- The general baccalaureate is intended for students heading towards higher education, such as bachelor’s, BTS, or DUT. This baccalaureate is not professional. It provides specific lessons in its sector. From 2021, the scientific baccalaureate, the economic and social baccalaureate, and the literary baccalaureate will give way to the general baccalaureate with a choice of 12 specialties. These specializations guide the student’s post-baccalaureate path. For example, if you want to go for a license in modern letters, choosing the literature/philosophy specialty is incredibly wise!
- The technological baccalaureate enables technological and general education in various fields such as health, social, management, design, and hospitality. Without allowing professional integration directly, this bac will enable students to target their orientation in a specific sector.
It is sometimes compulsory to have this baccalaureate to pursue post-baccalaureate training. Here are some examples of techno bac:
- Bachelor of Science and Technology in Management and Management (STMG)
- Science and Technology of Industry and Sustainable Development (STI2D)
- Sciences and Technologies of Design and Applied Arts (STD2A)
- Health and Social Sciences and Technologies (ST2S)
- The vocational baccalaureate aims to provide direct professional integration into the world of work.
In three years, you familiarize yourself with a particular field. At the end of this training, you will be able to work in a company. The strengths of this bac are the speed of professional integration and the training courses in a professional environment (PFMP).
You have the choice among a large number of professional bins:
- Bac pro-Commerce
- Professional baker pastry chef
- Professional Bac Kitchen
- Hairdressing professional bac
- Bac pro Photography
- Bac pro-Logistics
- Computer science baccalaureate
- Bac pro Building and public works
- Bac pro Management
- Professional bac Aesthetics-cosmetics-perfumery
The good news, you don’t have to go to school again. Professional bins are accessible remotely!
What if I don’t have a diploma?
For each problem, there is a solution! Depending on your level, you can consider taking different training routes.
What training to do if I missed my diploma
You missed your baccalaureate; you missed your BTS or your DUT, you did not obtain your master 2 … don’t worry, you are not an isolated case! Many courses would accept you if you missed out on your diploma.
What to do without the bac?
If you failed your baccalaureate, be aware that some establishments give you the chance to continue your studies despite your failure. You are starting with law universities which offer you capacities in the field or even individual specialized schools which give access to diplomas such as bachelors without the precious sesame.
What to do without the BTS?
If you missed your BTS, the least we can say is that it’s not the end of the world! Far from it, you can choose another training such as a DUT, a license, or a bachelor’s. You can indeed justify two years of practice, not validated, of course, but you nevertheless have a background, which is not negligible!
What to do without a license?
The first year of the bachelor’s degree often leaves doubt on the students who chose the university at the end of the high school or after following the early training… Yes, the university is not for everyone, and if you have not validated your first year of the license, know that you can join another training ( BTS, bachelor, etc.). There are bridges between the courses. For example, you can switch from a PACES to an organic license!
What to do without a master?
The masters are incredibly selective. Many students end up with a license without being subsequently accepted into a master or who end up with a master 1 … without a master 2. If you were refused in master 1, or worse, refused in master 2, you can try to find a non-selective master’s degree or enter a specialized school.
What to do without a diploma?
Without a diploma, you can also engage in different types of trades. Many professions recruit without a certificate. For example, jobs such as receptionist, logistics agent, caregiver, croupier, an employee in collective catering, entrepreneur, cashier host, delivery man, security manager, or even specialized salesman.
To get started in one of these professions, you can, for example, take vocational training. These training courses lasting a few days (or a few weeks, maximum) will allow you to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for the exercise of a profession. Thanks to training organizations, you will be surrounded by professionals in the trade who will teach you your future career.
For some of these trades, you can also get by without vocational training. In some stores, professionals will agree to train you in a few days to exercise the profession so that you can be up and running quickly. But you will put all the chances on your side if you apply with previous vocational training.
